About Me

Enthusiastic and analytically strong IT professional with experience in network management, virtualization and application development. Focused on automation and scalable solutions within complex IT environments.

From a very early age computers have fascinated me, both from a hardware and software perspective. Windows, Linux and macOS hold very few secrets for me, and I taught myself to program while still in high school. With this knowledge I started my own company, Praesent Hosting, when I was 15.

I feel the most at home in complex environments where I can make impactful changes to the world. I'm always looking for new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow.

System and Software Engineer - UMCG

Employed at the department of laboratory medicine, I'm responsible for both conceptualizing, creating and maintaining a broad variety of systems, networks, and tools. One of my biggest achievements is co-developing a web application that automated 90% of the daily ISO 15189 registrations; resulted in a ~10% FTE reduction.

As a freelance web designer and web hoster I designed and maintained PHP-bases websites and web-apps, managed domain-name registrations and provided web hosting on private Linux VPS servers.
